The standard EAN-13 and UPC-A barcode numbers we provide are not suitable for books and magazines.
Books and magazines require an International Standard Book Number (ISBN), which is a unique identifier reserved specifically for print publications.
To obtain an ISBN in Hong Kong, please visit the Hong Kong Public Libraries website:
HKPL ISBN Registration
Once you have your ISBN, you will need to generate an ISBN barcode image in EAN-13 format to include on your book’s cover artwork. Properly formatted ISBN-13 barcodes display human-readable text both above and below the code.
We can assist you in generating correctly formatted ISBN barcode images for your publication. Simply email us at contact@barcodesavers.hk with your ISBN number, and we can provide you with a quote and arrange a special order.
